Christmas Carol Reflections

03 Dec

Last December, I spent several posts reflecting on the words of some of the popular carols of the Christmas season. As we’ve begun to hear these songs once again in our churches and shopping malls, I want to re-read those reflections, to encounter again these timeless words and message as we come into this season of celebration.

As I do my own reflection, I thought I would provide links to last year’s posts, in case anyone else is interesting in contemplating the words that we so often sing.

Reflections on 11 Popular Christmas Carols (from 2011)

Silent Night

Joy to the World

Hark! The Herald Angels Sing

Angels We Have Heard on High

O Come O Come Emmanuel

The First Noel

O Holy Night

O Little Town of Bethlehem

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

Come Thou Long Expected Jesus

What Child Is This
